We know, we know. It’s way too early to start thinking about who’s going to be going to Super Bowl 2019. But with the season underway and fantasy football fans reveling in the return of football, who can’t think about who will square off in Atlanta on February 4, 2019? And plus, what’s the harm anyway? Of course, a lot will change between now and February, but based on week one, here are some good contenders.
While – admittedly – it’s too early to start looking at who is going to be competing in The Big Game, it is certainly not too early to start booking your 2019 Super Bowl package. If you are looking to make your trip to Atlanta an unforgettable experience, contact Superior Executive Services. We have packages to match your needs and budget.
During the Packers and Bears matchup, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was carted off the field in what looked like a serious knee injury and the consequent departure of the Packers hopes for the season. While the Bears began to run away with the game, putting the Packers in a 20-point hole, the two-time MVP returned to the game and reaffirmed his standing as one of the best in the game. Rodgers led his team to a 24 to 23 victory over the Chicago Bears. After such a nail-biting comeback, you can’t help but feel that Green Bay sparked some momentum to get them rolling into the season.
As long as Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are at the helm, it’s smart to include them in any post-season predictions. During their week one win, the Patriots had many bright moments including the confirmation that Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski still have one of the best connections in the league. Also, the Patriots’ pass rush proved to be formidable, recording 12 QB hits and a forced fumble.
Although Carson Wentz has yet to make his return, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Falcons in an 18 to 12 victory on the opening night of the season. While Carson Wentz is expected back soon, we cannot forget that Nick Foles led the Eagles to a Super Bowl win and is more than capable of holding down the fort until Wentz returns, at which point, the Eagles should be ready to fly.
After their defeat of the San Francisco 49ers, the Vikings seemed to resolve all the question marks from the preseason and increase their chances of going to The Super Bowl, including whether Kirk Cousins would make a smooth transition and running back Dalvin Cook would be fully healthy. With their season-opening win, the Vikings displayed just how much potential they have this year. It also showed how the league’s top defense plans on keeping this title – they forced the 49ers to commit four turnovers.
